Views, views, views. Magnificent traditional and contemporary island homes all with spectacular ocean, marsh or poolside exposure, will be featured on March 17, 2018. during the 65th Christ Church Frederica Tour of Homes.

The tour of homes is arranged by the Christ Church chapter of Episcopal Church Women, which devotes tour funds to area charities that primarily serve women and children in need.

This year’s tour stops feature two recently remodeled beachfront homes on St. Simons Island — an ultra-modern East Beach marsh front home and a waterfront guest cottage in Sea Palms West. On Sea Island, tour participants will visit four gorgeous homes along the beach, marsh and in Ocean Forest.

It will also be a special day for history lovers. Following a decade long refurbishment, The Harrington School House, circa 1920, is now open and among the tour stops. The tabby slave cabins at Gascoigne Bluff, and Musgrove Retreat and Conference Center, built in the 1930s and situated on Village Creek, are also included.

The tour will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as gracious homeowners and docents on St. Simons and Sea islands open their doors to visitors, while offering presentations of the stops’ architecture and design features.

Tour headquarters will be at the parish house adjacent to Christ Church, where visitors will enjoy music and light refreshments made from recipes in Christ Church’s popular cookbook, which will be for sale.
