Years in the Golden Isles: I moved to the Golden Isles in 2015 from Atlanta. I vacationed here with my family as a child and have deep roots on St. Simons Island dating back to the 1920s!

Occupation: Junior designer and newly promoted to head of marketing for Pierce & Parker Interiors.

Who or what inspired you to become an interior designer? Over the years I have become more and more passionate about pursuing interior design. It sounds funny, but as a child I would watch HGTV. I enjoyed watching designers present to their clients and witness the amazing transformations they would achieve at any scale. My mother has a great eye for design, and growing up I would love to play a key role in helping her decorate the homes we lived in.

What do you hope to achieve in designing a home? I think it’s important to make a space look its best while reflecting a client’s personal sense of style. I would like homes to be both aesthetically pleasing while maintaining comfort and practicality.

How would you describe your style? My personal style is a blend of timeless décor with color, texture and pattern while being both elegant and practical. I love to combine antiques with one-of-a-kind statement pieces and accessories. I design the showroom at Pierce & Parker and it’s rewarding to create unique and different styles for our clients. Each of the 25-plus rooms are a blank canvas in which I get to showcase my creativity and comprehensive knowledge of design.

Where do you get your inspiration from? I love finding inspiration from some of my favorite designers through social media. I also get a lot of my creative style through books – not only design books, but art and photography from all eras. A lot of my most recent inspiration comes from spending time and learning from the very talented Lori Harden and Julie Willis!

A local you admire: Sheri Munshi. She has been a tremendous role model for me over the last couple of years. I admire her ability to be a successful mother, entrepreneur, friend and woman of faith! She always maintains a positive attitude even when facing adversity.

Describe a perfect Saturday for you in the Isles: My husband and I love to go to brunch at Palm Coast on Saturday mornings. Afterward, we love to hang out on the beach at the Beach Club. Our favorite part is listening to Owen Plant play during happy hour! We normally finish off the day with dinner accompanied by good friends either grilling out or at one of our favorite local spots!

Favorite landmark on the Golden Isles: I love the Avenue of the Oaks on the way to The Lodge. It has such a unique and special meaning to me besides being uniquely beautiful. It’s where my husband and I said our wedding vows this summer in front of just family due to COVID-19.
