Who or what inspired you to become a Realtor: I became a realtor back in 2012. I was working with Gerry Peck at Island Property Co. and he encouraged me to get licensed. I am so happy that I did because it is a ton of fun. Real estate allows me to be a part of helping people’s dreams come true and that is an incredible feeling.

Tell us about how you prioritize work-life balance: I do not think we are given much of a choice as to how we balance life. We just do it. I try to take one step at a time and put one foot in front of the other. Somehow that works for me. At the end of the day, if my husband and I are completely exhausted and all the kids are fed and asleep then I consider that a success and figure that we must be doing something right.

Favorite landmark in the Golden: Gould’s Inlet – It is my happy place. Catching a sunrise at the inlet is nothing short of magical. Being on the water when that happens is much like I picture heaven looking like and a fantastic start to the day.

How have you been prioritizing fitness during the past few months? Fitness has always been incredibly important to me. I have made it a priority most of my adult life by doing everything from running and biking, to weights and stretching. It is as essential as food, water and air to our bodies and our minds. The past few months have brought a life-threatening disease into our lives and I truly believe that health and fitness are going to be the way we fight this crazy battle.

Describe a perfect Saturday for you in the Golden Isles: A perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles for me is “Pancake Saturday” at our house followed by a few morning hours on the beach. I have toddlers and they do not last longer than a few hours at the beach. Then spending the rest of the day at home with nowhere to go and no time to be there.

What brought you to the Golden Isles?

The ocean.

What is a selling point for buying a home in the Golden Isles? Location, location, location is a huge selling point.

Tell us about your favorite thing to do in your spare time: I do not know much about spare time but I do make time for paddle surfing. I am in love with it and go every chance that I can.

A local you admire: I admire many people for so many reasons. Strength, honesty, humility, are a few of my most favorite things about folks. I will say that after living during a pandemic and witnessing people think outside of the box to help others and keep their businesses alive, my admiration list grew quite a bit in the past few months. All you have to do is look around to see the good in people.
