Realtor Hill, Dana 3258

By MOLLY CARILLO

Name: Dana Hill

Family: At home, me, my husband Ty, and our rescues, dog Poppy and “orange kitty.”

Years in the Golden Isles: 12 for me and about 28 for my husband.

Occupation: I am a full-time Realtor with Georgia Coast Realty.

School: I grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and attended school and community college there. As part of maintaining a Realtor’s license, we are required to continually maintain continuing education credits. In addition to those, I recently completed the National Association of Realtors Commitment to Excellence Endorsement.

Favorite Spot: Having grown up on the Chesapeake Bay I have a true appreciation for great seafood, so one of my favorite things to do is to eat at our amazing local restaurants. There really are too many to mention and I am worried I might leave one or two out. I think it’s really important to support our local businesses as much as we can with the past year that we’ve experienced.

Favorite holiday tradition: I would love to make this past Thanksgiving a tradition. We were fortunate enough to have the girls, sons-in-law, and granddaughters here. It’s difficult to get together with everyone living so far apart. A special thank you to Becky and Jimmy!

Who or what inspired you to become a Realtor: I started in banking and was drawn to the residential mortgage side. I worked as a loan officer, underwriter and also as a settlement officer for a title company, so becoming a Realtor really brought me full circle. I love all aspects of real estate and the processes involved. But it’s really all of the great people I get to meet and help that I truly love.

What advice would you give someone looking to buy a home in the Golden Isles: It’s okay to interview Realtors. You need to make sure you’re

comfortable with them and that they’re the right fit for you. Moving is always stressful and you really need someone you feel you can trust to help get you through that process.

What are some of the biggest selling points homes here have? I love the variety that we have. You can find a fit for anyone’s life stage. Communities with great amenities including golf and deep water access, condominiums if you’re looking to downsize or you can head a little further west in the county if you’re looking for more land. I think we have something to offer for everyone.
