Name: Jenni Padgett
Family: I have a 4-year-old son and an 8-year-old Vizsla dog.
Years in the Golden Isles: I was born and raised here. I moved away for about eight years and moved back because this is my home.
School: I attended McIntosh County Academy, College of Coastal Georgia, and got my degree at Utah Valley University.
Occupation: Real estate salesperson at Keller Williams Golden Isles.
Favorite landmark in the Golden Isles: I have many places I frequent but Crabdaddy’s is one of the most visited. I enjoy the ambiance, the familiarity of the service staff and the delicious fresh food.
Tell us about your favorite things to do in your free time: I love being active, especially in the outdoors. You can see me biking, kayaking, on the boat or at the beach. I recently visited Cumberland Island for the first time, and I loved every minute of it. I plan on going back to learn more about the history soon. I enjoy the local festivities like First Friday in downtown Brunswick, the many festivals all around the area like the annual Shrimp & Grits, Whiskey Wine, & Wildlife, and many more. I am a big fan of “date nights” and eating all of the delicious food from the many restaurants in the area.
Who or what inspired you to become a Realtor: Moving back from living far away helped me realize that I wanted to help others find a place they can call home.
What advice would you give to someone looking to buy a home in the Golden Isles? Work with an agent you trust so you are familiar with current market trends. That way the agent can show you properties that meet your criteria in a timely manner.
What are some things you do to prepare for an open house? To prepare for an open house I create professional quality marketing materials for that home. I then reach out to vendors who sponsor open houses to expand my reach to include their contacts as well as my contacts. With Covid and social distancing, I also do video open houses.
What are some selling points for buying a home in the Golden Isles? I don’t just sell houses, I sell a lifestyle. The Golden Isles has something to offer everyone regardless of age or interests. Beaches, 50+ miles of bike trails, rich history, world class golfing, fishing, boating and sailing, protected nature preserves and historical sites, cultural events, live music, and wonderful restaurants are all within minutes of anywhere in the Golden Isles. I tell buyers, “you can be as active as you want to be because there’s always something to do. And on those days you want to sit back and relax, there’s no better place to do that.”
