Name: Sarah H. Broyles

Family: My husband’s name is Harry, and he is the chiropractor at Family Chiropractic Care, in Brunswick. We have been married for eight years. We have a 5-year-old daughter, Becca, and a black Labrador, Tilla.

Years in the Golden Isles: I moved to the Golden Isles in June of 2008 to be closer to my family and the water.

School: I attended Auburn University and Troy University with a bachelors’ degrees in psychology and business.

Occupation: I work as the assistant property manager at Georgia Coast Realty, on St. Simons Island.

Describe the perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles: I love the water and spending time at the beach with friends and family. Since I have my captain’s license, my perfect Saturday would consist of a day at the beach or on the water with my family and friends and top it off with a burger from Brogen’s North.

What are some local organizations you volunteer with? I am very active with my church, Glyndale Baptist Church. At Glyndale Baptist Church, I am on several ministries including the youth and children ministries. I have also volunteered with grief camps for children and many fundraisers that help the children and youth in our community.

Tell us about how you started your career as a Realtor: I started out working as the administrative assistant at Georgia Coast Realty in 2011 and obtained my license to help the office and agents more. About seven years ago, I was transferred to the rental department and have loved working in the property management division with Desiree Varnedoe. There is never a dull day.

What advice would you give to someone just starting their career as a Realtor? Working in property management is a bit different than working in sales, but to be a Realtor, you need to have great people skills and be able to let things roll off your back. Every day is different, and you have to learn to roll with the punches. One day I am problem solving and running from property to property getting them ready for arrivals and the next day our office is meeting with potential and current property owners. I have enjoyed working in a smaller real estate company because we are like a family, and it is nice to have support and guidance from the professionals in my office.

What are your favorite aspects of living in the Golden Isles? That is a hard one! There are so many great things about the Golden Isles! The food, the people, the atmosphere. I really enjoy being so close to the beach and such great, local restaurants.

What is your elevator pitch to newcomers/vacationers to the Golden Isles? Take advantage of all the Golden Isles has to offer. There are multiple festivals, activities, and tours year round. There are so many opportunities to support our local businesses and view historical landmarks. You could take a kayak nature tour in Brunswick or St. Simons, visit Christ Church, charter fishing tours, art and food festivals, and yoga on the beach. You could try something new every day in the Golden Isles.
