Family: Molly (wife of 35 years), Paul and Abbey (29-year-old twins). Abbey, our first born, lives outside of Portland, Ore., and Paul, our son, lives in New Orleans. Occupation: Poseidon Consulting and Renovations Years in the Golden Isles: We purchased our home in Sea Palms three years ago and spent a year traveling back and forth from Dunwoody to remodel our home here. Our intentions were that this would be our final home with the idea of retiring here. What brought you to the Golden Isles: I’ve been coming here since high school and college at Georgia Southern. In addition, my wife and I spent our honeymoon on Cumberland Island, and we have spent many vacations here on the coast. We like the casual atmosphere, the beach and the history of the area. Golf is my sport of choice, and I enjoy the many golf courses in the surrounding area. A local you admire: Davis Love lll. Not only is he an incredible golfer, but he gives back to this community so much. Since he has started the RSM Classic, it has raised $2.7 million for charities. I appreciate the fact that he cares enough to give back and embraces his community and southern roots, like having Southern Soul BBQ catered to the Ryder Cup Dinner in 2016 at Hazeltine, in Minnesota.

Perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles:Just going to East Beach, relaxing and beaching. Making a trip to one of the many historical sites and learning more about the past. Riding up to Darien on Saturday afternoon and having a cold one with an oyster po’ boy at Skippers watching the sunset. Or just a nice round of golf with friends. What does it mean to you to give back to the community: Giving back to the community is something I have always done. From the 23 Habitat houses I helped build to the nonprofit boards I served on and the church fish fries I worked, where we served over 1,000 meals each Lenten Friday, I have found giving back to the community is a great way to make a connection with my community. I have most recently begun to give back to this community by signing my business up for the 1 per program offered by the (St. Simons) Land Trust. We have already made a couple of contributions based on a couple of renovation projects here on St Simons Island.
