Helping Hugs Inc., the nonprofit mission organization of St. William Catholic Church, announces its fall fundraiser for its twin parish in Haiti. The Fête for Haiti dinner/auction will be held Oct. 26 in the St. William Parish Hall. The dinner will be catered by Tom Delaney of Delaney’s Bistro; live and silent auctions will feature gifts donated by members and local businesses.

St. William Parish is twinned with St. Joseph Parish in Côtes-de-Fer, Haiti, by the Parish Twinning Program of the Americas. Generous donors to Helping Hugs have made it possible to provide educational, medical and material assistance to the people of St. Joseph Parish and its 10 surrounding mountain communities.

Tickets to the event are available after Sept. 2 on the website: www.helpinghugsinc.org, or by mailing a check to Helping Hugs Inc., P.O. Box 24477, St. Simons Island, GA 31522. Tickets are $60 each. Tables of 10 may be reserved with payment in advance. Please provide name and address. Tickets will be mailed to you.

Businesses wishing to advertise to 180 attendees by donating an auction item or by sponsoring the event are asked to contact Jan La Boone at 912-268-4013 or by email at fiftyseveninches@hotmail.com.
