Golden Isles Arts & Humanities will welcome Katie Deal back to the Ritz Theatre stage at 3 p.m. Nov. 17, as she performs her new show, “Crazy for Patsy Cline.”

Having sold out two national tours of “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline,” Deal’s new show tells her story of how Cline’s music has changed her life. With a new take on nostalgia, “Crazy for Patsy Cline” features a live band, tight harmonies and Deal’s powerhouse vocals. In this one afternoon of “pure Patsy,” audience members will learn a bit about Deal, a bit about Cline and a lot about why Cline’s music is loved by so many.

Deal is a native of Gainesville, and has earned critical acclaim touring nationally with her one-woman show, “Today, Tomorrow & Forever: A Tribute to Patsy Cline,” and two national sold-out tours of “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline.” She has performed at the legendary Carter Fold, home of The Carter Family, in Hiltons, Va., and has sung with Loretta Lynn. She has opened for many country stars, including Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, T.G. Sheppard, B.J. Thomas and John Conlee. She has acted in major motion pictures, and can is a regular on the regional theater scene. Ritz Theatre-goers will remember her, and Obie Award-winner Jason Petty in their original concert tribute, “Classic Nashville Roadshow” and “Classic Nashville Roadshow 2: The Sequined Sequel,” which played at the Ritz in 2018 and earlier this year.
