St. Simons Rotary members and their guests recently gathered for a black-tie gala at the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, on St. Simons Island, to mark the club’s 70th anniversary.

After a cocktail hour and seated dinner, the group was entertained by a rousing 50s Trivia contest, led by member Jim Henderson. Keenan Carter played and sang “oldies” that had nearly everyone on their feet dancing.

Beth Smith, president of the St. Simons Rotary, presented a special award to Sharon Bolin, the club’s first female member, who now has 34 years of perfect attendance. Also recognized were Ann Nermoe and Te Turner, who received Paul Harris Awards in recognition of their many years of exceptional service to Rotary.
