There is a plethora of holiday activities this year. Please keep this calendar handy so you can attend as many events as you like.

• Mail on Main. Children can drop letters to Santa Claus from Nov. 29-Dec. 22 at a special North Pole Express mailbox, at the corner of Main Street and Ocean Avenue, on Jekyll Island.

• Jekyll Island Ice Skating will be open from 3-9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays at Sundays from Nov. 29-Jan. 5, 2020, at 364 Riverview Drive, on Jekyll Island. The rink is closed Christmas Day. Cost is $5 per person and includes skate rental and 30 minutes of skating time. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

• Brunswick Christmas Tree Lighting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in Jekyll Square between Ned Cash Jewelers and Tipsy McSway. Enjoy extended hours at businesses, a window decorating contest, Christmas carols, horse-drawn carriage rides and a visit from Santa. Details: 912-265-4032.

• Holly Jolly Light Tours will be held from 6:30-7:10 p.m. Nov. 29 and 30, and Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28. Tours will begin at Mosaic Jekyll Island Museum, 100 Stable Road, on Jekyll Island. Details and costs: 912-635-4036.

• Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be shown at 8 p.m. Nov. 30 on the Village Green, in the Jekyll Island Beach Village. Free. Chairs and blankets are welcome. Details: 912-635-3636.

• Carriage or sleigh rides of Jekyll Island, conducted by Three Oaks Farm Equestrian Services, will be held daily from Dec. 1-31 through the Jekyll Island Historic District. Details and costs: 912-635-4036.

• Jekyll Island Arts Association Holiday Market, at Goodyear Cottage in the Jekyll Island Historic District, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends Dec. 1-31. • Christmas at Hofwyl will be held from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, 5556 U.S. Highway 17 N., in Brunswick. Visitors will enjoy an illuminated tour of the plantation, a home decorated by members of the Glynn County Garden Club Council, interpreters dressed in period attire, cannon firings, re-enactors, hot wassail, cookies, Christmas carols and visits from Santa. • Movies with Santa will be between 6-8 p.m. Dec. 6 at the St. Simons Casino, 550 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be shown every 30 minutes. Children will have an opportunity to visit with and write a letter to Santa, enjoy a cookie and hot chocolate and see the movie. Cost is $3 per person. Cash only for this event.

• Jingle All the Way 5K and One-Mile Fun Run, to benefit CASA Glynn, will begin at 8 a.m. Dec. 7 in the Jekyll Island National Historic District. Runners are encouraged to wear jingle bells and holiday attire. Details, and to register, active.com.

• Merry Movies will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 7 at GTC Island Cinemas, on St. Simons Island. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society Victory Board, kids are invited to wear their favorite pajamas for a picture with Santa at 9 a.m., and then stay for the movies that begin at 9:45 a.m. Parents can choose “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” (26 minutes) or “Elf” (One hour and 37 minutes). • “Confections & Concoctions,” Cassina Garden Club’s annual bake sale, will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Historic Hamilton Plantation Slave Cabins and Gardens, 1195 Arthur J. Moore Drive, St. Simons Island. Tours of the interpretative cabin will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a $3 per person admission fee.

• Magnolia Garden Club Christmas Tour of Homes will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7 throughout downtown Brunswick. A bake sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1400 Norwich St., in Brunswick. Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 the day of the tour. Group tickets available. • Mistletoe Market Holiday Festival, sponsored by Glynn Visual Arts, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 in Postell Park, 532 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island. The event will feature more than 50 accomplished artists and artisans, a kid’s “Creation Station,” food vendors, live music and possibly a visit from Santa himself. Details: 92-638-8770.

• Community Chorus Presentation of Handel’s “Messiah” will begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 7 at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica, 6520 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, Ga. Free, but seating is limited.

• Holly Jolly Jekyll Parade and Lighting of the Tree will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Jekyll Island Historic District. The event will feature a golf cart parade, holiday music, an appearance by Santa and the opportunity to drop off new, unwrapped toys for the Georgia State Patrol’s Toys for Tots drive. • Brunswick Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Howard Coffin Park, and proceed to Mary Ross Waterfront Park. The event will feature more than 100 floats, vehicles, groups and marching bands. Details: 912-265-4032.

• ”A Christmas Carol,” Charles Dickens’ tale of the miserly Scrooge and his night discovering the true meaning of Christmas, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays Dec. 13-22 at the Ritz Theatre, 1530 Newcastle St., Brunswick.
