What is the mission of J. Flowers Health Institute? J. Flowers Health Institute is committed to saving lives and improving wellness by providing clarity, direction and results through comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and holistic treatment. This uncompromising approach to diagnosis before treatment allows lasting healing for those who struggle with mental health, substance use disorders, unknown medical conditions and other disease processes. We ensure that adults, adolescents and those with highly complex conditions heal in discreet comfort. We get to the root of the problem. Our vision is to raise the standard of effectiveness and client service in healthcare. A clear diagnosis is key to the most effective treatment possible.

What would you say is the most rewarding part of your job? I love the challenge of always bringing the best part of me to the table. Whether it’s in the boardroom, the design room or with a client and their family, always taking the opportunity to be of service, bringing compassion and love into each experience. My work with Dr. Flowers and with our amazing team has been the most rewarding growing experience for me both professionally and personally. Owning and operating a company is not for the faint at heart. I’ve learned to show up and suit up even when times get tough. I’m grateful we have been able to help so many folks during this unprecedented time. My partnership with J. Flowers Health Institute has afforded me creativity, and the ability to work semi-remotely living on one of the beautiful Golden Isles.

Describe your experience at The Southern C Summit and aspects you enjoy: The Southern C Summit is phenomenal for the entrepreneurial spirit. The founders, Whitney Long and Cheri Leavy, know how to network, and how to set an event that is conducive to learning and connecting with like-minded, hard- working souls. Sea Island welcomes this event with its beautiful accommodations and impeccable service at The Cloister. I appreciate the collaboration and passion these women (and men) bring and the uplifting personality of everyone who attends.

Favorite landmarks on Jekyll Island: My favorite part of Jekyll Island is its bike trails. They are phenomenal. Low-to-no car interference, live oaks and nature abounding — they are magical!

Describe your perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles: Waking up to the sound of the ocean, the birds and the gentle breeze that’s almost always there. Taking Rose for a stroll, gazing at the oaks, then a bike ride to one of our favorite restaurants on Jekyll for lunch. Hopping in the car to St. Simons for a bit of shopping, and to see the latest fashions and bling! Checking out the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia’s Instagram to see all of the sweet pups and kittens that are being so lovingly cared for. Dinner out or grilling at home – either would be just fine with me. Touching base with friends and loved ones locally and across the pond – connection is always good. Getting comfortable in our cinema room watching our most-loved shows and movies. That about wraps a perfect day!
