Tell us about your favorite things to do in your free time: I like pulling a seine net off of Wyley Street at sunset with a group of friends, and a cooler full of cold ones!
Favorite landmark in the Golden Isles: I would have to say the St. Simons Pier because you can see my second favorite landmark … The Golden Ray.
A local you admire: Robert “Boz” Bostock. He was a teacher, a toy store owner, and an entrepreneur. He was a very funny man who I respected in the community. He is surely missed.
What is your favorite time of year in the Isles and why?
My favorite time of the year in the Golden Isles is fall because of the warm days, cool nights and Sapelo oysters!
What inspired you to start making boiled peanuts? My inspiration was wanting boiled peanuts cooked in something other than Cajun spice!
What is one of the best food items on the Southern Soul menu?
Ribs! That’s how I judge a legit BBQ joint! But I could eat the stew every day!
What musical artists are on your playlist as of now? The Beastie Boys always have the driver’s seat on this playlist. Shake in some Alabama Shakes and throw some Medeski Martin and Wood. Greta Van Fleet and Run the Jewels finish out the bangin’ playlist!
