I went to Pierce County High School and then Valdosta State University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a Master of Public Administration. Public Administration

What is your job history?

After I got through playing football at Valdosta State for four years, I joined the staff there, worked with the offensive line for two years; the running backs for one. When my career ended there, I went to Pierce County, and that’s where Sean Pender and I met. I coached running backs for two years, and coached the offensive line/offensive coordinator the last two years. Stetson Bennett was there all four years at Pierce. Then, I made the move to Brunswick when Coach Pender got the job. He brought me on as the offensive coordinator, and it was that all the way up to last year – also working with the offensive line and Warren McClendon. Then last year, I was promoted to head coach.

What is your favorite landmark in the Golden Isles?

My wife and I enjoy Jekyll Island and all the historic sites in the Golden Isles. A place that means a lot to us is Crane Cottage at the Jekyll Island Hotel Club because that’s where I proposed to my wife. Glynn County Stadium is also one of our favorite places!

Spending time with my family on Jekyll Island or St. Simons Island, or going downtown in Brunswick.

Who is someone within the community who has had an impact on your life, career, or both?
