Family: Husband Jake, and daughter, Lilly Claire. Years in the Golden Isles: Less than one. Former hometown: Ocilla, Ga., originally, but recently moved from Midland, Texas. School: UGA. What brought you to the Golden Isles: My husband travels a lot for work and once we welcomed our daughter, Lilly Claire into the world, parenting proved to be quite the challenge in Texas without either of our families nearby. So when he suggested that we move to St. Simons to be close to my mom and stepdad, I pretty much started packing our bags that day – I wasn’t going to make him ask me twice! What is your favorite discovery about the area: I love how welcoming and friendly the locals are. We have already met so many great friends and we are so glad our daughter will grow up in such a tight-knit community. A local you admire: Molly Nobles. She and I were sorority sisters in college and she has been the sweetest, most welcoming friend since we moved to the island. I’ve also gotten to work with her professionally on our recent kitchen remodel and I have been blown away with her interior design talent and overall business acumen. She’s definitely an asset to Webster Tile and Bath and I highly recommend her for any home project – she’s the best! What are you currently reading: I haven’t picked up my next book but I recently finished Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. It’s an easy read that’s filled with abandonment, heartbreak and love with an unexpected twist at the end. Describe a perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles: My favorite Saturdays always start with a relaxing morning trip to the beach with our two Cavalier King Charles spaniels (Ellie and June), followed by an afternoon nap then dinner and drinks at Halyards. I’m a foodie and they always knock it out of the park!
