Hometown: I was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga.
Occupation: Professional golfer
Years in the Golden Isles: I moved here to St. Simons in February of 2018
School: The Westminister Schools, Class of 2013; Baylor University from 2013-2017, where I played golf and was a two-time Big 12 Academic All-American.
What brought you to the Golden Isles? After turning professional, I moved here to begin my career playing golf professionally out of Sea Island as home base.
What is one thing every visitor must do before leaving the area? One thing everyone must do before leaving the Golden Isles is watch UGA sports on the weekend in Redfern Village, eat Southern Soul, and drive over Sidney Lanier Bridge at sunset.
Describe your perfect Saturday: My perfect Saturday would be an early morning 18 on Sea Island’s Seaside Course, followed by college football or basketball with friends and family while enjoying some Catch or Brogen’s wings and a beer.
A local you admire (and why?): A local I admire is Davis Love III, not only for his amazing golf career and accomplishments, but also for the way he cares for and respects his home here, the Golden Isles, and the members of its community.
What is your most memorable experience on the golf course? My most memorable golf experience was playing Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, N.Y., with my father on a day where I was fortunate enough to tie the course record with a 65. Playing that well with the man who introduced me to the game on one of the most historic courses in the world will be a day I’ll never forget.
