The July gathering of the Golden Isles Olive Oil Ladies Who Lunch was Delaney’s Bistro on St. Simons Island.
The growing networking group heard from Darcelle Burandt, executive director of House of Hope, a program that will house, treat and educate adolescent victims of human trafficking, in Brunswick. People who shop at Golden Isles Olive Oil will have the opportunity to contribute to the program.
Chef Tom Delaney prepared a customized menu featuring an array of flavors from the store in Redfern Village, including Pincual Extra Virgin Olive Oil, blueberry-infused balsamic vinegar, cayenne chili pepper-infused olive oil, Cara-Cara Orange and Vanilla Infused White Balsamic Vinegar and Denissimo Balsamic Vinegar.
Lunch included a summer salad of baby arugula, Georgia peaches, blackberries, goat cheese, candied pecans and an orange-vanilla vinaigrette; an entree of pan seared diver scallops accompanied by asparagus, sugar snap peas and pickled watermelon radish and for dessert, white chocolate cheesecake with a blueberry balsamic compote.
