Family: Brett Nobles (husband) and Kirby Lou Nobles (golden retriever) Years in the Golden Isles: 3.5 years Former home town: Originally from Montezuma, Ga., but moved here from Charleston, S.C.School: University of Georgia … hence our golden’s name, Kirby! Occupation: Webster Tile and Bath – I have my dream job of designing gorgeous kitchens and baths on St. Simons and Sea Island. What brought you to the area: My husband … he had to drag me away from Charleston, but I am sure glad he did! What is your favorite discovery about the area: For a small town, St. Simons has so much to do! Amazing restaurants, awesome shopping and great friends who are always planning something fun! A local you admire: Eliza Price. Eliza is a recent graduate of Glynn Academy and I’ve gotten to know her through the youth program at SSCC. She is an awesome girl who does so much for the community and gives her time regularly to mentor younger girls. I’m so excited to see her flourish at UGA this fall and beyond. Check her out @truthdoodles. Describe a perfect Saturday in the Golden Isles: It always starts off with a good walk with our dog around Epworth …down by the water and under the oaks, followed by a beach day at one of our secret, less crowded spots (yes, they exist!) and finished by a big dinner with our friends that always involves my husband on the Big Green Egg! What is one thing every visitor to the area must do before they leave: There are two things that are on the must list every time I have friends visit the island: the Tibi outlet and Southern Soul Barbecue. The Tibi outlet is the island girls’ best little secret and Southern Soul because it’s the best BBQ in the South!
